At the 2023 RSPBA AGM, the membership approved the continuation of the ‘static start’ pilot for the Novice Juvenile B contests only.
As a reminder the 2023 pilot will apply at all contests, both Minor and Major where there is a separate Novice Juvenile B competition. Where there is a combined NJB/G4B contest please seek advice from the local branch holding the contest.

Please note that bands will enter the arena, and progress to the competition circle without stopping at the Start Line. At a minor competition the P/M will take the command from the Piping Adjudicator or Ensemble Adjudicator depending on complement of adjudicators. At Majors the command to start will be given by the Ensemble Adjudicator.
