The Dundee, Perth and Angus Branch of the RSPBA are delighted to host the RSPBA European Solo Drumming Championship on Saturday 20th April 2024 at Lochgelly High School in Fife with the sponsorship of Kingdom Thistle Pipe Band Supplies, as part of the Kingdom Thistle Annual Solo Piping and Drumming Competition.
As well as offering traditional Piping Classes for both Adults and Juveniles, this is the first time that all events currently offered at the RSPBA World Solo Drumming held annually in Glasgow will be offered under a national title.
This is the 3rd of 8 events in the 2024 RSPBA World Solo Drumming Circuit, and is the first to offer all the Snare and Tenor classes available to hosts.
There are 6 Snare Drumming events and 6 Tenor Drumming events which are open to Members of RSPBA Bands or affiliate Associations. All drumming events will be run under RSPBA rules as per the WSD Circuit Format Guide – WSD-Circuit-Format-Guide-V3.0-2024.pdf (rspba.org)
Adult Snare Drummers will also have the opportunity to secure valuable points towards the New Champion of Champions Title which will be decided over the 8 events in the 2024 WSD Circuit.
There are also 6 Adult Snare Drumming semi-final places available for the 2024 RSPBA Adult World Solo Snare Drumming Competition.
Spectators are very welcome on the day.
