The Board Of Directors and Staff are sorry to announce the news that former Director, Walter McGregor, passed away peacefully on November 27th after a short fight with cancer .
Walter had long and fruitful career with the RSPBA.
He became the RSPBA London and South of England Branch Treasurer in 2009 and was the obvious choice to succeed Willie Allan as Director in 2011, a position he then held until his retirement from the RSPBA Board in 2023 aged 75.
From 2012 to 2018 he accepted additional responsibilities as Branch Chairman, organising three outdoor and two indoor contests every year.
Walter will always remain a source of inspiration to all. He will be greatly missed at Chatsworth House next year.
Our thoughts are with the McGregor Family at this sad time.
