The RSPBA would like to congratulate our Honorary President, George Ussher, on being awarded an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List for services to the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association.
George has been involved with pipe bands for many decades and is a member of Ballydonaghy Pipe Band in Northern Ireland.
He served as RPSBA Chairman before being elected as President in 2003. He held this position until his retirement in 2024. Following this, he was elected as Honorary President.
George has tirelessly promoted pipe bands both locally in Northern Ireland and on a much wider stage. We are delighted that his hard work, dedication and service has been recognised.
