On Friday, all Novice Juvenile B bands carrying out static start will not be required to stop at the line.
On approach to the arena, the pipe major will be informed who the ensemble judge is by the arena director.
Bands can then proceed straight into the contest arena forming a circle and can then take their cue from the ensemble judge.
The removal of stopping at the line will ensure instruments are not down for longer than required, meaning the bands can achieve their optimal playing performance in the competition field.
