At the Board of Directors meeting on Saturday 24th July 2021 the Board ratified the Music Board proposals to award Championship titles to the Adult World Solo Drumming Championship pre-qualification events for 2022 and beyond. Following extensive consultation over several years with the Adult Competitors, Adjudicators, Directors and Sponsors, the event has grown and developed.

The 2022 Pipe Band Championships will take place as follows: British Championships – 21st May at Inverclyde Battery Park United Kingdom Championships – 11th June at Lurgan European Championships – 25th June at Inverness Scottish Championships – 30th July at Dumbarton World Championships – 12th/13th August at Glasgow Board of Directors
