The RSPBA has been working with the Leinster Branch of the Irish Pipe Band Association to support and develop an educational programme for pipers and drummers. A group of 9 piping students from the Leinster Branch of the Irish Pipe Band Association were assessed in The Black Raven Pipe Band Hall, Lusk in December 2016 after a 10-week period of tuition. All of the students were successful in gaining SQA National Progression Awards in Piping. Aine Gaffney and Calum Piner are two of the younger members of the Black Raven School of Piping and Drumming School who achieved SCQF2 Piping. Congratulations to you both. The Leinster Branch has had great support from the Northern Ireland Branch of the RSPBA and a strong working partnership is developing.

Drummers go forward in March for their assessments. We wish the students success in their endeavours.
