At the 2023 RSPBA AGM, the membership approved the continuation of the static start pilot for the Novice Juvenile B contests only.
The 2023 pilot will apply at all contests, both Minor and Major where there is a separate Novice Juvenile B competition.

Please note that bands will enter the arena, and progress to the competition circle without stopping at the Start Line. At a minor competition the P/M will take the command from the Piping Adjudicator or Ensemble Adjudicator depending on compliment of adjudicators. At Majors the command to start will be given by the Ensemble Adjudicator.
