Indoor Competitions
The Lothian & Borders Branch of the RSPBA are delighted to host the RSPBA Scottish Solo Drumming Championship on Saturday 30th March 2024 at The James Young High School, Livingston.
Our indoor festival of Piping and Drumming will include; Solo Piping, Solo Snare Drumming, Solo Tenor Drumming and Pipe Band Competitions.
The Scottish Solo Drumming Championship is the 2nd of the 8 Competition within the new RSPBA International Solo Snare and Tenor drumming Circuit. For the Scottish Championship in 2024, we have competitions for Adult Snare and Tenor Drummers and for Juvenile, we have competitions for – 16 years to under 18 years on 1 November 2023. This is in addition to other Solo classes for; Solo Piping, Snare and Tenor drumming which attract Branch titles.
The Scottish Solo Drumming Championship competitions are open to Members of RSPBA Bands or affiliate Associations run under RSPBA rules as per the WSD Circuit Format Guide – WSD-Circuit-Format-Guide-V3.0-2024.pdf (rspba.org)
Adult Snare Drummers will also have the opportunity to gain points towards the New RSPBA Solo Snare drumming Champion of Champions title accumulated across the 8 Circuit Competitions including the World Solo Drumming. In addition, 6 Adult Snare Drumming semi-final places are available for the 2024 RSPBA Adult World Solo Snare Drumming Competition.
