The RSPBA Scottish Solo Drumming Championship 2024.

Many thanks to the RSPBA Lothian & Borders Branch for hosting and sponsoring the competition on Saturday 30th March 2024. This was the second of the eight competitions which form part of the new RSPBA International Solo Drumming Circuit.

Adult Scottish Snare Drumming Championship

  • 1st place – Kerr McQuillan People’s Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia
  • 2nd place – Jake Joergensen Scottish Power
  • 3rd place – Stephen Creighton St Laurence O’Toole
  • 4th place – Cameron Lawson Inveraray & District
  • 5th place – David Henderson Police Scotland & Federation
  • 6th place – Glen Creighton People’s Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia
  • 7th place – Rachel Thom Inveraray & District

These competitors have now qualified to enter the RSPBA World Solo Drumming Championship in October 2024. Also, the top six places secure points towards the 2024 RSPBA Adult World Solo Snare Drumming Champion of Champion title.

  • 1st place – Jill Watson Peoples Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia
  • 2nd place – Josh Cunningham People Ford Boghall & Bathgate Caledonia
  • 3rd Place – Heather Allan Livingston Caledonia

Juvenile Section 5 Scottish Snare Drumming Championship

  • 1st place Mark McKendrick Renfrewshire Schools
  • 2nd place Ethan Henderson Livingston Caledonia
  • 3rd place Michael Ryan George Watson’s College
  • 4th place Callum Gibbs Falkirk Schools
  • 5th place Robbie Pate Shotts & Dykehead Caledonia
  • 6th place Carla Jansen West Lothian Schools

Juvenile Section E Scottish Tenor Drumming Championship

  • 1st place Kayla Morrison Preston Lodge High School
  • 2nd place Grace Thomson George Watson’s College
  • 3rd place Erin Beveridge Lochgelly High School

The next circuit competition is the European Solo Snare and Tenor Championship for Adults and Juveniles on Saturday, 20th April at Lochgelly High School, Fife.
